Carp, pike and beachcaster rods

Post by Want to catch on Thu Aug 06, 2009 6:40 am

Apart from that it will look a bit weird, can you think of a reason why I could not use my beach casters for pike or carp fishing, especially on a larger venue with big fish?

I was thinking lines, weights, bait sizes, distances to be cast, fish sizes (if only I caught sea fish that big) are pretty similar.

I guess the fight would be more fun on a carp/ pike rod?
